Our Carbon bars have degrees etched into the stem clamp profile. These are designed to correspond with the headangle of your bike to create a neutral starting point for bar roll & to optimize the vertically compliance of the bar.

INSTALLING STEM

STEP 1:

With the headset installed correctly & the prefered amount of spacers already installed on the fork steerer, slide the stem onto the steerer with the stem bolts loose.

STEP 2:

Place the necessary headset spacers above the stem on the steerer so that there is 5mm between the top of the steerer tube and the top of the headset spacers or stem.

STEP 3:

Install top cap, tighten down to 2Nm. Before torquing the stem bolts, put downward pressure on the bars with a gentle rocking motion. Re-tighten the top cap to 2-4Nm while holding the downward pressure. Once you have successful preloaded the headset, align the stem to the wheel and torque the stem bolts to 9Nm.

Note: Headsets can pack in after a couple rides, it is always recommended to double check the preload of your headset within a couple rides of adjusting it.

INSTALLING BAR TO STEM

NOTE: These instructions are in reference to our Bar & Stem. If you are using a different stem please check the installation instructions for that stem. Not all stems clamp with no gap on the top clamp. Failing to install stem faceplates correctly can result in failure.

STEP 1:

With Stem face plate removed, install bar.

STEP 2:

Install Top bar clamp and bolts, tighten bolts to stem body until there is no gap between the stem body and face clamps.

STEP 3:

Thread lower bolts until bar is held in place, but can still roll easily.

STEP 4:

Find the corresponding marking to your frames headangle and line it up with the edge of the stem face plate.

If you are using a non-OneUp stem, you can also line up the markings with the edge of the stem face plate.

STEP 5:

Torque all face plate bolts to 6Nm.

Note: It is highly recommended to check the torque spec twice before shredding!
