How short can I cut these bars down?

If I cut my bars down, will I lose the compliance benefits?

As you reduce the length of the bar, the compliance will also reduce slightly. But keep in mind that a OneUp bar cut down to 750mm will still have more compliance compared to another 750mm bar.

Awesome handlebars

"These are phenomenal quality and they had just enough rise to get the bars up to a more comfortable position. Highly recommend them. ."

OneUp Aluminum Handlebar.

"This is a great handlebar, I feel it has more compliance than the carbon version even after trimming it down to 760mm. It rides fantastic, plenty of stiffness and control on turns and compliant on big or small hits. On my Trek Slash 8 (Gen 5) I went from the stock aluminium bar to a carbon bar and back to aluminium with this OneUp bar and it is without a doubt one of the best upgrades I made to my bike's cockpit, I own many of OneUp's components on my Slash and I'm proud to say they're one of the best in the industry."

Q&A

I am installing the OneUp aluminum bar with OneUp stem on a new build. On the alloy bar, do the bar roll markings indicate where the bar is installed with rise and backsweep set even to the bike's head angle (similar to the carbon bar)? Is the preferred starting point for bar roll on the alloy bar the same as the carbon bar (set to match bike head angle)?
Hi Matthew, Thanks for your message, I'm happy to help.  The markings on the Alloy bars are purely there to make centering/reinstalling the bar easier, they don't denote any alignment/head angles like on the carbon bars. I'd personally suggest aligning the rise of the bar to be parallel to the forks/head angle. This aligns the compliance most directly with the forces you'll experience. This is a personal preference, and ultimately we'd suggest playing around with the roll until you find the most ideal set up for your riding style. Hope this helps, please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. Cheers,
I am looking both your Alu and Carbon bars. Really wanted to try the 50mm rise but I see they are likely not comparable with my grips or horns. Any thoughts on adds on that would work? I ride concrete. Basically Specialized carbon road bikes with flat bars.
Hey Dan, I unfortunately don't have a solution for installing horns or grips on our 50mm carbon bars. You can install grips with a single outbound clamp on the alloy bars, but they only come in a 20mm and 35mm rise.
do you make 31.8 mm diameter?
Hi Teanue, thanks for reaching out. We don't have 31.8mm bars, only have 35mm bar.
Do you offer any handlebars with a 31.8mm diameter?
We don't unfortunately, Zo. Our bars all have 35mm diameters.
alloy riser bars - are they drilled for a Shimano e-tube h-bar remote (e-bike equipped)? thanks!
Hi JB, Thanks for your message, I'm happy to help.  The Alloy bars are not drilled in anyway for running e-wires through, only our carbon E-bars have this functionality. Hope this helps, please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. Cheers,
