Less Pedal. More Power.

At 26.8mm, these are the thinnest dual-sided MTB clips on the market. XC Clip Pedals are stripped down to the lightest possible profile for when every gram counts.

Smooth Action.

XC Clip Pedals are built around OneUp’s custom, SPD™ compatible, binding system. Riders will appreciate the tighter cleat fit most during hard efforts, out of the saddle sprints and on technical descents.

Shared Internals.

XC Clips have Igus™ bushings and two cartridge bearings on a chromoly axle, protected by a double-axle seal. They share a rebuild kit with both our Wave and Clip Pedals.

This axle system makes them strong enough for any type of riding and ensures that service parts are easy to find.

Adjustable Cleat Fit.

Get the perfect fit for any shoe and fine tune the feel of your pedals. XC Clips offer a wider range of tension adjustment than Shimano and include cleat spacers.

FAQ

How is the OneUp binding system different from Shimano SPD™?

Our design focuses on two key improvements: eliminating unnecessary play in the cleat-to-binding connection and increasing the maximum release tension. To achieve this, we completely redesigned the binding and refined the cleat-to-binding connection, creating a tighter, more secure fit without sacrificing float. This provides a locked-in, confident feel while you ride. For greater adjustability and control, we engineered springs with a higher maximum tension and a wider range of usable adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune your setup to match your preferences.

When should I use a cleat spacer? How can I make it easier to clip-in?

If you’re having trouble clipping into the pedal or the binding feels overly tight, even at low tension, there are two adjustments you can make.

First, installing a the provided cleat spacer(s) allows your cleat to make connection with the binding sooner, reducing the interference between the pedal and shoe and making it easier to clip-in.

Second, you can remove the pedal pins to eliminate any additional interference. We recommend starting by adjusting the front pins and then the rear pins, if necessary.

Can I use another brand's SPD™ cleat?

We recommend using our cleats with our pedals. However, Shimano SH51 SPD cleats are also compatible. We can't confirm compatibility with, or recommend, any other SPDbased cleats from other brands. Use these at your own risk.

Are there any shoes that aren't compatible?

While we can't guarantee a completely universal fit with the multitude of shoe brands and sizes out there, any shoes with a 2-bolt cleat mounting interface should be compatible. Cleat spacers may be required in some cases.

Light and low

"Good pedals. The low profile is great for reducing pedal strikes and the light weight is a great plus. The anodized aluminum body is waaaaayyyyy better looking than a lot of other pedals. I do notice that the release can be a little tricky even on the lightest setting though."

Fantastic lightweight pedals

"I'm using these for my gravel bike and so far they've been great. I'm planning on doing some longer trips this summer and will put them through the real test. The bearings are super smooth and it looks like they will last a long time. A few other things I really like about the pedals are 1) They come with a bearing service tool! Great that they include this. 2) The packaging on these rock. Zero plastic waste and easy to open."

XC Pedals

"These pedals are awesome! This was an upgrade from my Shimano M540 pedals…well worth the upgrade. The goods: light, low profile, extremely strong, and well built. The bad's: none!"

Jonathan P. (5/5)

Seem Solid.

"They look good and standard Shimano SPDs work perfectly. They’d receive a 5 if they spun as freely as my XTRs. Maybe they’ll get there when they’ve broken in."

Mark Q. (4/5)

Q&A

I am 205lbs aggressive rider, concerned that pedal has a weight limit or intended for lighter riders and use
Hi Jorge, Thanks for your message, I'm happy to help.  We have many riders that are 250lbs that use our pedals without issue, you will be just fine to ride them. They are just as strong as our Clip Pedals which are designed for more intense riding. Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.  Cheers,
Do you offer a military discount ?
Hi Adam, thanks for reaching out. We don't offer a military discount. Sorry about this.
I recently purchased a couple sets of your XC Clip Pedals. I was impressed with the quality but one pedal strike broke the front of the pedal and it no longer clips. Is there any warranty coverage for something like this? Hate to have to buy a whole new set of pedals after one rock strike.
Hey Walter, Thanks for getting in touch with us. Sorry to hear of the broken pedal, we can definitely help you with this, please head to our Warranty page on oneupcomponents.com so we can learn a little more and get you back on the trails, thank you!
Is the bronze color to the Fox Kashima color, or is it more of a "root beer" bronze? Thanks!
Hey Jeff, Thanks for reaching out! I love the colour matching attention. It is a little more root beer bronze, than kashima. Though the colour combo works in my opinion (I am currently running this)
what is the weight limit?
Hey Aaron, thanks for reaching out. We don't have a weight limit for these pedals. We have test riders around 250lbs, as a point of reference.
