Ultra Thin.

At only 26.8mm, these are the thinnest mountain bike clip pedals in the world. And they have an extra large, DH-sized platform. The ultra thin profile means you get a larger platform that’s less prone to pedal strikes.

Large and Light.

Many other clip pedal platforms don’t even touch your shoe when clipped in. Our lightweight, large platform pedal is designed to actively support your shoe and give you more confidence and control.

Custom Stainless Steel Binding.

Our SPD™ compatible mechanism gives you 5° of float and a 12° release angle with no unwanted play. The tighter cleat fit doesn’t sacrifice float and delivers a locked-in and secure feeling.

Adjustable Cleat Fit.

Fine tune the feel of your pedals with a wider range of spring tension adjustment than Shimano, removable pins and the included cleat spacers for the perfect fit with any shoe.

FAQ

Do I need to install the updated binding plate myself?

Nope! Every pair of pedals has the updated binding plate installed from the get-go, so you're ready to roll, hassle-free.

How is the OneUp binding system different from Shimano SPD™?

Our design focuses on two key improvements: eliminating unnecessary play in the cleat-to-binding connection and increasing the maximum release tension. To achieve this, we completely redesigned the binding and refined the cleat-to-binding connection, creating a tighter, more secure fit without sacrificing float. This provides a locked-in, confident feel while you ride. For greater adjustability and control, we engineered springs with a higher maximum tension and a wider range of usable adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune your setup to match your preferences.

When should I use a cleat spacer? How can I make it easier to clip-in?

If you’re having trouble clipping into the pedal or the binding feels overly tight, even at low tension, there are two adjustments you can make.

First, installing a the provided cleat spacer(s) allows your cleat to make connection with the binding sooner, reducing the interference between the pedal and shoe and making it easier to clip-in.

Second, you can remove the pedal pins to eliminate any additional interference. We recommend starting by adjusting the front pins and then the rear pins, if necessary.

Can I use another brand's SPD™ cleat?

We recommend using our cleats with our pedals. However, Shimano SH51 SPD cleats are also compatible. We can't confirm compatibility with, or recommend, any other SPDbased cleats from other brands. Use these at your own risk.

Are there any shoes that aren't compatible?

While we can't guarantee a completely universal fit with the multitude of shoe brands and sizes out there, any shoes with a 2-bolt cleat mounting interface should be compatible. Cleat spacers may be required in some cases.

Are the pins height adjustable? Can I ride the pedals without pins?

Our Clip Pedals can be used with or without the pins, but the pins themselves are not height adjustable. They are designed to bottom out in the pin hole, functioning like a standard screw.

If you’re trying to make clipping in easier, we recommend using a cleat spacer first to reduce interference between your shoe and the pedal. If additional adjustments are needed after installing the spacer, you can remove the pins to further minimize interference. Start by removing the front pins, and then the rear pins if necessary.

Why are the pins hollow? How can I remove a damaged pin?

The hollow design allows dirt to pass through the pin, eliminating the need to pick dirt out before removal. To remove a damaged pin, you can use a 2.5mm Allen key from either the front or back. If removing it from the back, remember to turn clockwise to loosen it. This design ensures easy maintenance and hassle-free removal when damaged.

Reviews

Good but tight cleat

"Pedal seems like its high quality and I like that its super thin/low profile. However, the cleat sits closer to the base of the pedal than shimano or other similar SPD style pedals. It does come with shims for your shoes, but if you have two bikes with different pedals, they will be too loose. Being so close, I have them set to the weakest release and its still pretty tight. Thats why I would only give them a 4 star rating."

Q&A

hi , are these clip pedals compatible with the latest Shimano multi release cleats?
Hi Larry, They sure are! Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.  Cheers,
One Up clip pedals. When trying dial in the fit I accidentally took the tension screw all the way out. I can't figure it out how to get the screw back in with the tension. I have it back in but the tension spring is not attached. I was at a bike race and a bike mechanic tried to help and we could not figure it out. I am in Portland, OR but was hoping for guidance on how to fix the screw as I have used the pedals 3 times
Hey Bryn, sorry to hear about your tension bolt troubles. Here is a service guide for installing it - https://can.oneupcomponents.com/blogs/clip-pedals-service-install/install-binding-tension-nut-bolt. Let me know if you need any further help here.
Are your cleats compatible with Shimano pedals?
Hi, yes our cleats are compatible with Shimano pedals. Let us know if you have any other questions at all.
Hello, I bought Ultread shoes with oneup cleats recently. Have been using Shimano shoes and cleats for decades, road and mountain. Glad I tested the oneup cleats in my driveway before heading out on bike. Could barely get shoe/cleat out of pedal. Was unbelievably difficult. Undid the adjustments, front and back, as far as they would go and lubed all contact and moveable parts. The release effort is still fairly hard to do. This is compared to the Shimano stuff. Haven't tested Shimano cleats in the oneup pedals. But any thoughts on what I'm going through?
Hi Steve, Thanks for your message, I'm happy to help.  I'm sorry to hear that happened, have you tried installing the cleat spacers that came with the pedals to see if that made a difference? It's possible your shoe is contacting the pedal body too much, causing excess friction. Let me know if that makes a difference. I would try some Shimano cleats if it doesn't help. Cheers,
I purchased a set of clip pedals from Jensen USA on Dec. 19, 2025. I have had difficulty getting the binding to release and discovered there was a recall on the rear binding plate. Can you advise how I can get my pedals updated?
Hey Dan, Could you please send me a picture of the binding plates of your pedals? I can help you get these working smoothly!
